Description
First impressions last! Working with SamanPey as an Engineer intern was my very first interaction with a professional work environment. After passing most of my undergrad coursework, I decided to work in a harsh but close-to-reality work environment. Therefore, I became an engineering intern - data & analytics in a copper mine complex in southern Iran. Learning the state of the practice engineering concept and working on an image processing project were notable highlights of my internship with SamanPey. I collected stationed and drone images frequently and developed a model to calculate the earthwork quantity using Digital Elevation Models (DEM) in MATLAB in form of +100 Gb raster graphics. I utilized the processed images to analyze the slope stability and identify areas that are prone to failure for +4000 Sqm of soil-nailed walls.
